The interior layout has been partially changed. The building retained the three-aisle layout, but the central nave was raised due to the introduction of a barrel ceiling. The church has a Baroque altar with a pulpit from the 17th century, which has been removed. The altar is located in the central part of the nave of the church.

Made of wood, it fills the entire space between one and the other wall of the nave. In the church there are two beautiful wooden chandeliers from 1914-1920 hanging from the ceiling halfway up.

Parish of Okartowo history: The first mentions of the church's founding date back to around 1500, during the reign of the Teutonic Order in these lands. The temple erected by the Teutonic Knights was dedicated to Saint Bartholomew and stood on the site of the Teutonic castle previously destroyed by the Lithuanians. After 1530, as a result of the secularization of Prussia, the church passed into the hands of the Evangelicals. In 1799, on the foundations of the old church, a new church was built of fieldstone. The church had three naves of equal height, covered with a flat wooden ceiling. As a result of military operations during the First World War, the church was severely damaged. The gradual decrease in the number of Evangelical people in these areas and the inability to maintain the church, which began to fall into ruin, were the reasons for handing over the temple to the Catholic community in the late 1970s. Roman Catholic parish of Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary was erected on November 5, 1984 by Fr. Bishop Jan Obłąk, Bishop of Warmia.
