A beautiful village, located about halfway up the hill, with beautifully restored stone houses, seems frozen in time and bears witness to the ancient relationship between man and the mountains. The church is charming, but spend about ten minutes wandering around the village, admiring some of the houses, whose mixed stone and wood construction strongly resembles other huts, such as those found in the Queyras National Park. Continuing through the woods, you'll find many stone walls that once supported ancient terraces used for cultivation (chestnut groves and perhaps vegetable gardens).
