Nice vantage point on the Okertalsperre!
The Oker reservoir is the largest dam in Lower Saxony and is used to supply drinking water and generate electricity.
In summer there are daily boat trips (off-season only on weekends), swimming is permitted outside the restricted zones.
You can circle the Okertalsperre by bike, but part of it is a busy road in the season. On the other side is a nice bike path, partly paved.
