It spans a fertile meadow area that is known as Winthusen.
In the north-west corner of the arch when looking towards Bremerhaven. One finds
a small elevation, popularly known as the "Fresengrave".
Old people know the following about the Friesian grave:
Frisians lived in the Wurster Land. These once made an incursion into the land.
They came via Spaden and brought long beams
and boards with.
From this they built a bridge over the Geeste. crossed these and plundered the villages of the country.
When they left. but they were persecuted.
Twelve of them were killed and their bodies buried on the Geeste.
Because they were Frisians, their grave was called 'Fresengrave'.Heimatverein Friends of Schiffdorf e.V.
