Borisov station was founded in 1871. Initially, it was a small junction on a double-track section. But gradually the station acquired increasing importance, and in 1914 a new building was built here, which became the only two-story station on the 200-kilometer route from Minsk to Orsha. The first floor was occupied by utility rooms and a baggage compartment with an exit to the platform. The station workers and the financial and commercial auditor lived on the second floor.
