A fortified settlement dating back to the early Common Era has been preserved along the banks of the Berezina River near the village of Leshchyna. It is located at an altitude of 15-20 meters above the Berezina River, near a forest road, on the edge of a small field. Ancient defensive ditches and ramparts have survived to this day. The settlement belongs to the Shaded Ware culture, a Baltic archaeological culture of the Iron Age (7th century BC - 5th century AD). Excavations have uncovered numerous fragments of pottery, a clay spindle whorl, iron slag from iron production, and clay fragments from a blast furnace.
