The King's Road was an ancient trade route that ran through the Taurus Mountains in southern Turkey, connecting the ancient city of Perge on the Mediterranean coast to the city of Pisidia, which was located in the heart of the Taurus Mountains. The road was named after the numerous kings and dignitaries who traveled along it in ancient times.

Termessos, an ancient city located in the Taurus Mountains, was an important city along the King's Road. The city was situated on a natural plateau and was surrounded by walls that were built to take advantage of the rugged terrain. The walls were constructed using large blocks of stone and were strengthened by towers and bastions.
