- The border hiking trail covers an approx. **3.3 km long section** of the former border strip, which runs from the road to Eckartshausen to the "Oberes Löhlein" north of the road.
2. **Nature reserve**:
- In the southernmost tip of Thuringia lies the **Alstergrund nature reserve**, which has European-wide significance and is part of the hiking trail.
