Hardpack gravel so good to cycle with any gravel or mtb tire. The path follows the old railway line Assen-Stadskanaal (dating 1905). This path goes through a tunnel under the N33, Hunebed Highway, (note, 2x touniquet/turnstile) and into a rest area.

Here you cycle over the old railway track. A beautiful gravel strip that is always in good condition. Nice to visit the tunnel under the N33.

At the intersection with the Nijend (Anderen) there is a water tap that is open for a large part of the year.
