It's great that so much of the city wall has been preserved and you can walk along it. Occasionally there is a tower that you have to walk through.
2-3 towers can be visited (free of charge) *. There are some narrow and steep stairs leading up to the tower. At the end, Rothenburg ob der Tauber is at your feet and you can enjoy the view. Simply beautiful.
