At this point you can decide whether you want to take on the last, relatively steep ascent or whether you would rather branch off down. Not that it's any less strenuous, just different. A certain amount of altitude is fine for us, but we know when to rest our knees. The exciting thing about the descent is that it is not signposted and is hardly visible. You need information and maps like Komot. However, once you have discovered the trail, you can follow it easily. There are still important things to note: You need sure-footedness and sturdy shoes on the partly loose scree!

On the way you will meet goats that roam freely here. Whichever way you choose, take enough drinks and sun protection with you. The wind that blows on the mountains is much weaker in the valley.

If you go into the valley here, be prepared for a very demanding, stony path, which can also be dangerous at times

Because finding a way is the biggest problem. Once found, it is very demanding. Lots of loose stones and boulders but the landscape is simply wonderful. The efforts are worth it. Good shoes, lots of water and sunscreen are a must here.
