Omey Island is accessible across the sandbank at low tide. Follow the waymarkers in the sand. You can either drive or run across, but it is very important to check the tide times before you leave. If the tide comes in, you will be stranded on the island! You can ask in Sweeney’s Pub in Claddaghduff for advice on when Omeny Island is accessible.
