In the hamlet of Secchiano there is a small village far from the noise and daily frenzy, kept away by the ban on cars: Ca' Rossello. The low stone houses develop around a central square in which the well and a delightful little church, among the smallest in Italy, are inserted. The Church is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, can accommodate a maximum of two or three people and seems to have come out of a fairy tale: the structure is in stone with two very small openings on either side of the entrance door, raised by two steps from street level, while the building is completed by a brick bell tower which is oversized compared to the Church. On the back wall there is a small altar supported by four white columns of the Corinthian order and a beautiful polychrome ceramic panel. On this is painted the Virgin and Child at the moment in which two putti are about to crown her, while the representation is enclosed by soft white clouds. In the right wall there is a niche that houses the statue of Santa Rita da Cascia. A simple painted frame runs along the walls ending with a scroll bearing the date 1853. The small village of Ca' Rossello and its tiny church are a pleasant discovery of the minor cultural treasures of Valmarecchia and can be the starting point to reach the important Convent of Sant'Igne in the Municipality of San Leo via the 097 RN hiking route which passes right here.
