In the months of April-May you can watch the swallows with a little peace and quiet as they move into their nesting holes and fly in to feed the young swallows until July. Then you can see the boys waiting at the cave exit.

The sand martin has created tubular nesting holes here and in other places on the steep slope of the Wohlenberger Wiek.
The species is strictly protected in Germany and may not be visited or disturbed in its habitat, particularly during the breeding season.
Observation should therefore be limited to the resting place above this spot, particularly in the months of April to June.
