    Hiking

This old double track road was once used for logging up in the hills. The trail connects the Sacramento River Road to Forest Road 64, and is mostly a gradual uphill through the valley. The landscape is mostly alpine woodlands, and if you find herds of cattle in the area be cautious when near them. There is an old wooden corral near the trailhead which the local ranchers use for gathering their herds.
