La Raja de La Pedriza, or Cleft of La Pedriza, is an impressive gorge in the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, near Madrid. A former lamprophyll quarry, this rock formation offers an exciting hiking experience with unique rock walls and intriguing geological forms.

Hiking

One (the largest) of the two quarries in the area. The excavated material was used for the Madrid - Irún railway section. It occupies the basin of a seasonal stream. On its northern edge is La Cueva del Abrigo del Aljibe (on a private livestock farm).
