Hiking
The Stiltepad was built in 2014. The route follows an old connecting trench, called 'the trench of hope', between the Trench of Death and the village of Kaaskerke, which was converted in 1914 into a large trench complex, a fortified castle on the Frontzate. The ruin in the middle of the Stiltepad is a remnant of the Sabbe farm, which was rebuilt after the First World War.
