The Linau is a stream about 30 km long in the district of Herzogtum Lauenburg.

It rises in the forest area south of Schwarzenbek and flows into the Delvenau near

Witzeeze, which has been developed into the Elbe-Lübeck Canal.

The Linau forms the southern boundary of the Schwarzenbek urban area

    in the Rülauer Forest.

The actual Linau source is not easy to find. According to the current Komoot map, it rises on the road near the convalescent home. But that is not true.

It flows under the road in a westerly direction.

The source is therefore further east.

The Google Maps map is a little closer to reality, but only almost. According to it, the source is supposed to be west of the Knotensteig. But that is not true either,

as I checked on site today. It flows in a westerly direction under the Knotensteig. The source is therefore to the east of the Knotensteig.

The stream has almost dried up despite the recent rainfall. That is why

I have set the flow under the Knotensteig as the source area of the Linau today.
