Vathia is probably the best known and most popular tower village in Mani. A few houses have been renovated or completely rebuilt. Others are as they were when they were left perhaps 50 or 60 years ago, including all the furniture. There is even a tavern on the upper edge of the village (very rare in these villages).

The almost deserted village is worth a visit to stroll through the alleys and look at the old stone houses.
