During the road works, the workers uncovered an old pavement from the years 1868 - 1870. The construction work was then halted and local archaeologists, specialists from Romania and heritage experts from Strasbourg were consulted. In order to preserve this cultural heritage, the city fathers want to set up the street section of the street 31 August between the crossings Alexandr Puskin and Metropolitan-Gabriel-Banulescu-Bodoni as a pedestrian zone.
