Via Ferrata Angelino

Short but interesting VF below Monte Generoso, make sure you follow the narrow path to the right of Barghetto to the signposted start below the VF so that you climb upward. There are at least three metal ladders and a short bridge, the 2-3m gap between ladders 2 & 3 requires a friction traverse using the chain, making this a grade 2.5 B/C but ok for fit beginners. There are only a couple of upward climbs all well secured, but great views on a clear day. This route only takes 20m or so but is worth the effort.

From the top follow the ridge up to Monte Generoso then back fown to the train at Vetta or carry on along the path to Bellavista. The very fit can avoid the tourist train and start down by the lake coming up the T4 Via Variente if it's not wet.

Short but interesting VF, can be done in either direction if necessary, but best from bottom upward. Only tricky bit is the short traverse from one ladder to another which requires some shoe friction, otherwise fairly easy. Nice views and a little bridge at the end. Not recommended in poor weather.

Stretch only for experts, I strongly advise against doing it downhill, very dangerous. In some points (too few) there are also chains for via ferrata.
