The eucalypts came to Spain from distant Australia and via South America. The further west you go through Galicia, the more numerous the eucalyptus forests become. These fast-growing trees are increasingly displacing native species and have therefore become an ecological problem. Nevertheless, it is impressive to hike through the seemingly endless rows of high trees.
