    Although it's shown as a footpath on the OS maps of the area, this is one of a number of permissive paths that allow mountain bikes. And it's a path well worth riding - it's not at all technical, but it's an absolute scream. There are some lovely swoopy corners, which round stern, barren hillsides to reveal breathtaking views, there are wide open grassy descents to test your nerve, and the whole thing is an utter hoot from top to bottom.
