Little remains of the medieval Polcenigo Castle. What we see today is what remains of the villa built by the Polcenigo counts between 1700 and 1800. The Venetian-style villa was designed by the Venetian architect Matteo Lucchesi. After various family disputes, the villa was abandoned in the mid-1800s. Over time, all the furnishings and furnishings were stolen. In the late 1970s, the perimeter walls were restored and consolidated to make the building safe.
