The Domberg parking lot in Suhl is located directly at the entrance to the Thuringian Forest Nature Park and is an ideal starting point for hikes to the Bismarck Tower, the Ottilien Chapel, and along the Domberg–Sauerberg mining trail. The parking lot is free, is located at an elevation of approximately 640 meters, and offers simple but functional infrastructure. Access is via the "Auf dem Domberg" road, which is, however, heavily damaged in places – caution is recommended.
