When you reach the end of the sunken road and walk under the Brusselsesteenweg via the small tunnel you will find an information board with codes with the story of the Hogebeek - "the Wolvenbeek rediscovered". The path also continues along the stream to and through Winksele-dorp.

Here you walk in the bed of the Hogebeek. Take into account mud in winter and after a rainy period. The also official street, Augustijnenstraat, forms a beautiful sunken road in Bertembos. In the spring there is plenty of celandine in the bed and on the embankments.
