A place of incredible peace and tranquility with a very special energy and surrounded by a beautiful landscape. The Monastery was built in the 1960s on land donated by Pablo Acosta who has his mausoleum right there. Its name derives from the French abbey La Trapee with which it shares the order and bears the title of being the first Cistercian Monastery in South America. The monks are self-sustaining, they have animals and sow and harvest their own food and they can be visited during mass hours.
