As one of the oldest documented places in all of Franconia (Oberhaid was 1225 years old in 2013), Oberhaid, with its districts Unterhaid, Staffelbach, Johannishof and Sandhof, lies in the heart of the river paradise of Franconia, where the Main and Regnitz rivers meet and the border between beer and wine Franconia merges seamlessly. The wonderful location in the Hassberge Nature Park offers a wide range of opportunities for nature-based leisure activities and invites you to go cycling and hiking on many trails. Two breweries, several beer cellars and a wide variety of restaurants offer a wide range of options, which the local winegrowers attractively complement in the pub, in the Heckenwirtschaft or at Hofschoppen or Bremserfesten. The historic town hall in Unterhaid is just as worth seeing as the "Kellergasse Unterhaid", which is already well known across the region and was renovated between 2008 and 2014, and the unique cemetery chapel "Mater Dolorosa". The parish church of St. Bartholomew in Oberhaid is the destination of the annual "Oberhaider pilgrimage". Located just outside the gates of the city of Bamberg, Oberhaid is excellently connected to regional connections via the adjacent A70 motorway and its own train station. frankentourismus.de/orte/oberhaid-639
