Steep, stony and partly natural ascent to the Bärenkopf, from the edge of the Othfresen forest, with the former observation tower. At the top there is a bench that invites you to rest. A wonderful rocky, steep and rooty ridge trail leads from the Bärenkopf towards Salzgitter. The ridge path should only be hiked with good shoes and sure-footedness. A hike along forest and forest paths in the direction of Döhrenberg, Salzgitter or to the Waldcafe Liebenburg is also possible.

A beautiful, steep, rocky path to the foundations of an observation tower. In summer, the views are overgrown, so it's best to visit at another time of year, but the path is beautiful even in summer!
