The Oast House Track follows dirt tracks and a boardwalk along Counsel Creek and passes the historic, convict-built Oast House. Originally built in 1844, this rare structure was built during the island's convict leasing era to dry hops grown at the neighbouring Hopground Beach. Today, this doubletrack trail is popular with bushwalkers, mountain bikers and e-bikers. It winds through open woodland where wildlife encounters with grazing wombats and kangaroos are very possible.
