Unfortunately, the gate was locked on all 4 of my visits in the last few years. So there is only the view from above.

The cave of Sant Martí is located on the hill of the same name. It is believed to have been used as a place of worship by the first Christians of the Roman city of Pol·lèntia.
The first documented dates appear in 1268. It is accessed via a 12m high staircase.
Inside there is an old well, now covered, two medieval altars with round arches and a ribbed vault dedicated to Saint Martin and Saint George, with high stone reliefs.
The first shows half of his cloak being cut off to protect a poor man who turns out to be Jesus, and the second in St. George killing the dragon.
There were a few landslides last winter and the Diocese of Mallorca, owner of the grotto, is keeping it closed for safety reasons.
