Great view, beautiful summit cross! Little visited summit, as it is a relatively long way to get there. We started from the Kemptner Hütte, on to Holzgau. Shortly before the summit it gets a little bit craggy, you can use your hands, but the rough rock offers a good grip for hands and feet. Despite frequent markings, the right path is not always clearly recognizable. Difficulty level SAC T3 (demanding mountain hiking).

The large Krottenkopf can be reached relatively "quickly" from Holzgau. Once arrived, it goes steeply up again. But it's worth it - a wonderful panoramic view compensates for the effort.
