The 145 meter long and 3.30 meter wide building has been connecting the two banks of the Lahn and thus the two Limburg districts of Eschhofen and Dietkirchen since 1989. In 2010 it was named after the former mayor of Dietkirchen and long-time city councilman Kurt van der Burg.
