Both the hike (from the Ammerwaldalm) and the ridge path are great sections. The views from the summit are hard to beat - no idea how many peaks you can see here. The Allgäu Alps are in the southwest. To the southeast you look at the Zugspitze, which rises behind the vulture heads. The Plansee looks out like a fjord. To the northwest lies the Forggensee far below. In short - the Hochplatte is a very worthwhile destination!
