Ξηροστέρνι ("dry cistern") is a place rich in (architectural) monuments for its size. One memorial is dedicated to those who died in the Balkan Wars, the other to a local lyre player who is said to have become very well known in the USA. The village with architecture worth seeing is beautifully situated above a creek valley, in which it is said that one can hike from the marked place to Gavalochori. There is a start marker here, but nothing has been entered on OSM so far.
