Originally there was a small town with a chapel (St. Jakob), which was mentioned in a document as early as the 12th century. In the late Middle Ages, the settlement was abandoned and became a deserted area, only one agricultural property (the so-called Schafhof) remained. Next to the estate is the tree-covered tower hill of the former chapel hill castle.
Erbrechtshausen was part of the Ernestine-Saxon office of Königsberg, the Schafhof belonged to the city council and is now leased.
