This square was once part of the so-called Outer Market, which was created as a result of the expansion of Rosenheim in the 15th century. However, it has been completely redesigned in recent years, including partially exposing the city stream.
The Fish Fountain, a work by Prof. Albertshofer from 1928, stands out on Ludwigsplatz. It is a reminder that fish used to be sold here. Today a “Green Market” takes place here almost every day.
