Lovran (Italian: Laurana) is a tourist resort on the Opatija Riviera, on the east coast of Istria, 6 km south of Opatija in Croatia. It consists of two areas: the old city area at the end of the sea bay and the newer one, which grew at the foot of the Gorica hill, the 712 masl Učka ridge. It is the center of the municipality of Lovran, which belongs to the Primorje-Gorski County.

Lovran has a pleasant climate. The average January temperature is 5.9 °C, and the average July temperature is 23.5 °C. The average annual number of sunny hours is 2230.
