From the viewing platform you have a fantastic view of one of the largest natural moor areas in the Salzburg Flachgau. The moor has been a bird sanctuary since 1996, so you can easily observe the variety of birds. It's best to pack binoculars. An information board explains more about the raised bog and its special features.
