The sight of Dunnottar Castle is simply impressive: The castle ruins are enthroned on a high cliff that juts out into the sea like an island. You can reach and visit the castle ruins via a hiking trail and several steps.

In my opinion, one should also invest the entrance fee for this exceptionally located castle ruin. Great pictures are possible here
