A gentle hike from Egham up the hill to the Air Force memorial at Englefield Green providing views across historical Runnymede across to London. A very sombre location listing over 20,000 names of those that died on operations in the Royal Air Force during the Second World War who have no known graves. This includes many names from Commonwealth and overseas territories.

Had to ride over to Balfe Bikes in Kingston to fix an issue with my bike. Great service from the guys at Balfes and all sorted quickly. Managed to encounter some black ice on the way resulting in a fall. Now nursing a very sore hip but nothing serious.

Continuing on from last weeks ride along the Thames from Egham to Richmond today i went from Richmond to Waterloo. The route up, along the south side of the river, appeared to hug the Thames more. Coming back walk along the north side felt more road riding and where I was on the Thames path there were more pedestrians so was a bit slower.. It the weather was fine so a good day out finished off with a pint at The White Cross in Richmond.
