The Rehberger enclosure is a natural forest of the Schleswig-Holstein State Forests. The aim of these natural forests is to ensure site-specific plants and animals an undisturbed habitat and to research and observe forest communities. Forestry use is only permitted insofar as conifers and non-native woody plants may be removed. In this respect, these forests are under special protection.
There are two circular hiking trails: Small circular route 1.6 kilometers, Large circular route 3.25 kilometers. If you want something more, like me, include the “Rehberg” street or go on a hike through the nearby Hechtmoor.
Today I was lucky enough to spot a pack of fallow deer among the trees. I couldn't take pictures of them because firstly they were too far away and secondly I preferred to watch them instead of scaring them with my movements. Unfortunately, they had noticed Lille and me much earlier. They had already noticed us and were moving deeper into the forest. Too bad, at my next "stalking" there I will be even more attentive and maybe they'll come in front of the photo shotgun. Whether they were out of some fallow deer enclosure or live there. No matter, they were really pretty to look at. Maybe there will be a photo here later.
