"The construction of the temple began in 1910 and was completed in 1915. The original design of the church in the Romanesque style was developed by an architect from Grodno, B. A. Sroka. During construction, corrections were made to the design.
Ultimately, a neo-Gothic, three-nave, brick, single-tower church was built, consecrated in 1919 by the dean of Wołkowysk, priest Nikodem Tarasiewicz. At the end of World War II (in 1944), the retreating Nazis, leaving Jałówka, undermined the temple tower, which collapsed on the church and damaged the roof truss, the vault and one pillar.
