The Van Gogh-Roosegaarde cycle path was in the news years ago because it lit up so beautifully in the dark. When I cycled over it for the first time a while ago, I did indeed feel ripped off: there was nothing to see!
Now I've discovered the secret: the path in front of you won't see anything when your lamp shines on it. If you look behind you you will see the lights appear on the path. If you look behind you too long you see stars 🤕.
