Oil Mill in Franz-Kleine Park

The Förderverein für kulturhistorische Bauten und Bauwerke e. V. has done a great job: The old oil mill from the 16th century was brought back to life by the association. For this project, the interior of another old oil mill was bought to bring the Salzkottener mill back to life. Now the impressive building can be visited again.

From April to October, every first Sunday of the month there will be a showcase of oil beating. Also worthwhile are the other stations of the craft island. Here, besides the oil mill, you can admire a blacksmith's shop, a bakery and a wooden shoemaker's workshop.

Behind the oil mill is the Franz Kleine Platz with benches to relax and activities for the little ones
