Cathedral Rock Summit and Overlook

Rising 1,000 feet above the valley floor, Cathedral Rock is one of the easiest summits to reach in the Spring Mountains. This does not mean, however, that the views or position is any less impressive. From the rocky summit dotted with scrubby pines and shrubs, you get 360, panoramic views of the entire Kyle Canyon area including views of Mount Charleston, Mummy Mountain and Trail Canyon, and Fletcher Peak; you get particurlaly great views of the sheer Echo Cliffs. You can also see down the sheer 1,000 cliff to the town of Mount Charleston, and the Mount Charleston Lodge. Please use caution around the edges of the summit! The summit of Cathedral Rock is a truly amazing place to eat lunch, take photos, and enjoy the views.
