Located south of Marseille, in the 8th arrondissement, the Pointe-Rouge district is an essentially residential area, with numerous individual houses spread out over the foothills of the Massif de Marseilleveyre. At the gates of the Calanques, it is also a tourist destination with a marina and a sandy beach. Built between 1964 and 1972, this large marina in Marseille offers 1,800 berths and a range of water activities (sailing, diving, canoeing, paddle, kite surfing, sea rowing, Polynesian canoe, etc.).
