Point Bennett can only be accessed via a ranger guided tour, as there is a risk from unexploded ordnance in the area. Don't let this put you off, as the rewards from visiting the area are definitely worth it. The beaches host one of the largest colonies of elephant seals in the region. You will hear their noise from miles away as you approach, and seeing the hundreds of seals on the beach is a great reward for the long hike.
