Unlike other islands in the national park, there is no dock or pier on San Miguel Island. Visitors will be brought directly to the beach on a small skiff, so it is important to ensure your gear is waterproofed as much as possible in case you need to get in the water.

The ferry operates from April to November, with only 4 to 8 boat trips per month. The journey from the mainland can take up to 4 hours.
