Full description on hochschwarzwald.de. Nice hike, not suitable for wheelchairs, but on level ground, little increases. Only the last part of the descent demands the knee joints.

The "Säbelthomaweg gourmet trail" leads directly past this beautiful pond. It is natural and invites you to linger.

Beautiful natural pond in the middle of the forest. It is best to look for a quieter place on the opposite side gegenüber

This beautiful, peaceful little lake called Mathisleweiher feeds the Zartenbach. It belongs to the nature reserve "Eschengrundmoos" and offers a habitat for many rare animals and plant species.

Since 1964, this can be at 893 m above sea level. NHN located Hinterzarten with its approx. 2600 inhabitants as a climatic health resort 🌲⛰🌲.
Hinterzarten is traversed by the Zartenbach and the place name is a combination of "behind the road" and "in the Zarten", which developed around 1750.
Hinterzarten is best known for the ski jumps in the Adler Ski Stadium ⛷, which are ready to jump all year round; the first being built in 1923!

Especially on hot days, the lake invites you to cool off.
